Description:
Regular walking can prevent a number of serious health problems such as heart disease or diabetes. Health Walks are free, organised walks led by trained volunteers for people who are currently not very active but would like to do more. These gentle walks take place in groups and provide a safe and social atmosphere.
Our current walks are generally between 45 to 70 minutes long, and have at least two Walk Leaders - one at the front and one at the back. You are encouraged to go at a pace that is comfortable for them. Shorter and slower walks are also available for beginners and those with limiting health conditions.
