Description:

Hampton Court Palace is the oldest Tudor palace in England with many attractions including the Tudor kitchens, tennis courts, a maze and State Apartments and King's Apartments. A real tennis court and banqueting house are open to the public during summer months.

The attractions at the Palace include a unique garden restoration, King William's Privy Garden of 1702, and the private apartments of the Georges, last occupied in 1737 and now refurbished. The Great Hall is England's greatest medieval hall and one of Britain's oldest theatres. William Shakespeare's company performed there in 1603-4.

Join Henry in a living Tudor world where he celebrates his wedding to his sixth wife and see surprising portraits and personal objects of his wives. Or if the 'pin up' prince is more your cup of tea, visit the Young Henry VIII exhibition (included in your admission ticket). The exhibition includes paintings and interactive displays.

You can get fabuously lost in Hampton Court's world famous maze or follow the family ghost trail and hear stories of kings and queens of long ago. Visit the Chapel Royal which has been in continuous use for over 450 years, visitors are welcome to join in religious services and admire the chapel's ceiling which is the grand culmination of the Tudor interiors at Hampton Court.

Aside from the wonderful attractions of Hampton Court Palace itself, the gardens are certainly a sight to behold. Relax in over 60 acres of beautiful gardens that run down to the River Thames, featuring sparkling fountains, glorious displays of over 200,000 flowering bulbs and 750 acres of tranquil royal parkland.
